Meet Alex
Originally from England, Alex was born in London but has been living in the US for the past 25 years. Married with one son, Alex got into IT when he was just a child himself.
From a young age he was interested in gadgets and technologies and trying to come up with ways to improve or change them. This led him to University where he got a degree in information systems engineering, something he now does for his clients.
1996–1999
Worked in London for stock brokerages, media production companies (including BBC TV), and international banks, gaining diverse industry and technical experience.
1998
Completed Master's Degree in Information Systems Engineering from the University of Surrey.
Obtained Cisco CCNA and CCDA certifications; recognized as one of the first 500 people worldwide to hold both certifications simultaneously.
1999
Completed Associateship of the University of Surrey through a one-year industrial placement.
Relocated from London, UK, to Los Angeles, USA.
2000–2001
Managed network operations and helpdesk support for an Internet Service Provider (ISP), gaining significant operational and technical management experience.
2001
Founded Techital (June), initially as a solo IT practice.
2002
Joined ProVisors (Pasadena One group); later served over a decade on the Executive Committee.
2003
Awarded County contract to support networks or Los Angeles Business Technology Center
2003
Installed Techital’s first Voice over IP (VoIP) phone system, positioning early into the VoIP services market.
2004

Received designation as a Microsoft Small Business Specialist.
2007-2012
Completed approximately 3,000 telecom and VoIP installations with over 5,000 dispatches, consistently ranking in the top 3 nationally for operational excellence and quality.
2009
Transitioned Techital from a break-fix IT support model toward fully managed services.
2011
Expanded international client base, supporting businesses in Russia, Germany, USA, Canada, UK, and Australia.
2014
Obtained California C-7 Contractor License for low-voltage cabling installations, legally expanding service offerings into structured cabling and audio installations.
2012–2022
Expanded Techital team to approximately 10 employees (all U.S.-based), covering multiple U.S. time zones.
Developed deep specialization in cybersecurity, compliance, cloud migrations, and support across industries including distribution, manufacturing, legal, accounting, mortgage lending, and transportation.
2018–2020
Further expanded specialization into larger multi-site businesses and organizations needing full outsourced IT departments.
2024
Ranked No. 2608 on the 2024 Inc. 5000 list, recognized as one of America's fastest-growing private companies.
Conducted significant IT and telecom expenditure audits (e.g., MOD Pizza).
2025 (Present)
Initiated community-focused initiatives, including organizing computer donations for victims of the Eaton fire disaster.
